Daniel is an innovative and forward thinking BMS (Building Management System) solutions provider with a wealth of industry experience at consultant and end-user level, Dan has been involved in the development of complex technical solutions in a variety of industry sectors.

Over the past few years, Dan has taken a keen interest in the field of building data and analytics, particularly with a view to making them useful in day-to-day operations and helping estate managers and owners harness the power of analytics to provide real term benefits which translate into savings in energy and operational and capital expenditure.

In 2019 Daniel was invited by EMEX the leading UK Net Zero & Energy Management Expo to lead an expert panel discussion on how an improved collaboration between Energy Managers, BMS Engineers and incumbent M&E teams can lead to a more efficient operation of buildings.

Daniel’s focus is helping clients in obtaining and understanding BMS operational data and how to effectively use analytic data to achieve greater savings.

Daniel has worked for industry market leaders and was awarded Honeywell Bravo Awards, Platinum, Gold and Bronze x2 . He was also the first winner of the Honeywell Partner Channel Sales Person of the Month in July 2018, a national sales award.

He was nominated as the Honeywell (UK) Buildings Employee Consultation Group Representative (Trend Control Systems) 2017-2018  and Social Media Champion.

Daniel has 3 children, Joshua, Amelia & Sienna and is the holder of a Private Pilot Licence, completing his flight training in Longbeach, California in 2002.

Terry has over 40 years’ experience in the controls and automation industry working in an array of technical and commercial roles. His time spent with manufacturers, systems integrators and maintenance specialist providers offers a rounded perspective of the challenges in delivering client solutions through the commercial minefield. Outside of work, Terry enjoys sailing, cooking, socialising and spending time with his family.

BMS Consultant

Jo is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years of hands-on experience in on-site commissioning management. Jo brings a deep expertise in Building Management Systems (BMS) controls, developed through a diverse range of projects across the industry. In addition to her accolade of professional achievements, Jo has also successfully undertaken four self-build and barn conversion projects, showcasing her practical, solutions-focused mindset and a passion for innovative construction.

Sally entered the BMS and control industry after graduating with a degree in BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Since then, she has worked in numerous roles within Building Services, progressing rapidly and accelerating her career. She currently supports high profile clients by future proofing their BMS design strategies.

Daniel is a highly trained engineer with 15 years’ experience in the BEMS Industry. He offers bespoke and expert advice to our clients, providing solutions, streamlining operations, and achieving business goals. He has been an integral part of NDAs evolution in the field of IOT and the fast-changing BEMS industry. In his spare time,he enjoys country walks with his family, swimming, mountain biking and DJing.

Andrew has a wealth of knowledge with over 25 years of experience within the Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) Sector. He has been with NDA for nearly 20 years and has been instrumental in helping to deliver the company ethos.

Founder & Managing Director

Nick started in the industry as a Commercial Trainee for Satchwell Controls (remember them..?) in 1985, who were at that time, one of the UK market leaders in building controls and the still relatively new, Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS).From the literal ‘drawing board’ he progressed to technical systems design, with roles such as Project Manager, Technical Sales Engineer and Regional Sales Manager with later similar roles with Johnson Controls and Sauter Automation.

It was whilst working with M&E Consultants developing their BEMS & Controls specifications (FOC) that Nick realised there was lack of specialist BEMS & controls knowledge in the consultancy sector with a heavy reliance placed on manufacturers and systems houses to carry out the design. This often resulted in a conflict of interest.

Seeing an opportunity to ‘Break the Mould’ (our original tag line) Nick founded NDA Consulting in 2002. The aim was to provide independent best of breed, unbiased technical and commercial advice as well as a full range of design and support services for our customers – some of which have stayed with us since the start! Since then, technology has changed the industry beyond recognition with Smart Buildings and IoT, but our quality specialist consultancy services continue to add un-told value to our client projects and portfolio of buildings and sites.
